Question Are Motels/Hotels operating?

Wondering if it's still an option to grab a room for a short stay/ one night in Motels?
What are new lockdown rules say about it?

Most chain hotels that were operating during Nov-Dec are operating now. Hotels offer accommodation for incoming travellers who need to quarantine. So Govt is unlikely to shut them down. They are more essential than say Dollarama

Thank you. I will appreciate any suggestions/ tips if you can PM me, because we are at the same area I guess...I mean things like which hotel,rates, whether cash payment allowed etc. Will appreciate any Intel specific to situations.

somebody suggested to me to use hotel.com to find best deals. if using the hotel is kind of your thing, look for reward programs. I always pay with cash back credit cards. The sketchy motel I lived once near Eaton Centre has been torned down. 40 bucks a day.

So I was pretty tight, time wise, and decided to go cheap, choosing Motel. Not because of money, but because of extremely simplified check in/ out process. Also, I prefer, individual AC to centralized one in Hotel.
My fav couldn't care less and we agreed to meet there.
Last time I used that place 8y ago or so. Nothing changed. Business is thriving. 40$ +10 deposit and I had a keys literally 3min after arriving. Room is very cheap but clean. Reminds me s9 rooms just bigger.
To be honest I still fel a bit ashamed bringing upscale girl to such a place but....
Desperate times, desperate measures.
Two things I'd like to mention here: definitely, bed session makes a difference compared to massage table and also I enjoyed to strip her from her civics including her "non spa" underwear...
And she..she was amazing.

Apparently, I recalled that I used Woodbine MC about 10y ago, bringing there some Asian amature from CL. I remember, that one hour after check in, when I was checking out, the frontdesk clercasked me: "have you had just use awashroom, sir?"

I find the MC looks like a decent lower end hotel so you won't feel ashamed going there...plus, the check in process is very easy (no need to provide them ID or Credit Card, just pay them cash and you're on your way).

Mind you, if you're only staying 1 hr, the motel might not be a bad idea...

if anybody wants $40 per night. There are a buch of motels along kingston Rd (near Highway 2). Lido motel and bunch of others have rooms starting at 40 bucks a night. I never been there but the saw the sign on their buildings.
