Hi, I am married for about three years and am very disappointed about the physical relationship between us. He has no interest in sex and I doubt whether he is worried about the success. He has got premature ejaculation and he failed in first few attempts. I used to give him all the support and still he is conscious of his shortcoming. I have heard about premature ejaculation treatment and is planning to take him there. I am doubtful whether he would come with me. How can I make him convince about the need of this treatment? Our relationship is drooping down because of this, and I guess, proper treatment can induce some positive changes.

I faced this issue when I used to smoke. Does he smoke by any chance? If yes, then just talk to him about it and specify that physical intimacy is an important part in a relationship. You will have to work on this along with him. No need to be indirect about it, just be direct.

Also add to that, possibilities of depression, anxiety as possibilities. Has he lost interest in sex or anything else? It could be physical as well as mental, a very good friend of mine is a psychologist and I hit a bump a few years ago myself and sure enough, there were some unaddressed issues that were, well, unaddressed. Some therapy, some "meds" and a crap ton of exercise, more so than usual and was well on my way to my own personal recovery.
I hope it works out for him, it's tough and it no doubt can snowball and get worse and worse if it isn't addressed.
