The guy must be a customer who knows where the money is collected, usually at front reception desk at high end spas. At Asian spas, most customers pay the money to the girls and the girls pay room fees to the front desk at the end of shift. So there never was big amount of money at the front desk to get robbed.

A manager I know had her spa robbed twice over an 8 month period.
after the second time, she had enforcers guard the spa for the next few months, once their guard was down BOOM! happened again.

After the third time I suggested to her to place an add by the counter saying "Less than $50 is kept in the register" and to make several deposits thorough the day.
The cops suggested to place a camera pointing to the register and to have height marks on the exit door

that seemed to do the trick has not happened again.

Back when I was going to school, I was working at a 24 hour gas bar. The company sent all their employees to the local police station for information and training about armed robberies, how to protect yourself, how to prevent them, etc. They also taught us how to identify different types of weapons, faces, eyes, and voices. It was a real eye opener. Maybe they should set up a similar program for Spa workers. Just a thought.

Doubt it. Guy has probably been there before and saw how they handled the cash or just assumed it's the type of business that probably deals in cash and is used to keeping things lowkey, therefore probably not a lot of cameras and security.

Security cameras are so easy to set up nowadays. Even door bell cameras, outdoor cameras with motion sensor lights. You can even watch your camera from your cell phone while you're away.

I truly believe in karma. Former employee of club dynasty here- The owners completely rob the girls there, he pays them 35$ per 45 min and charges 150$. Complete robbery- don’t rob girls out of sex work and maybe this would have never happened. I bet one of his “employees” tipped someone off letting them know how much cash it on site.
