~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you’re new to Reflexology, here is some information about it:
Reflexology is the method of placing pressure on the feet, hands, ears and face to stimulate the nerves, relax, and heal the parts of the body relating to those nerve endings. There are over 7000 nerve endings in the feet! So foot reflexology can help not only with foot pain, but relax other parts of the body as well. That being said, it is not a replacement for medical care nor a cure for illnesses, however, many clients find that reflexology really does manage their pain and stress.
During my treatment, I massage the feet and the lower ankles and calves. If a client’s feet are in a lot of pain and too sensitive, I may not apply much pressure. But I can always change the pressure to go lighter or heavier depending on what feels best for each client.
