New massage place just opened up in the north side. Its actually right above the Lucky Supermarket above that food court. I frequent the supermarket and never thought it possible to have such a thing here.
Who knows, I can tell the SO to go shop for groceries for an hour, then I see her in an hour to carry out the groceries after my time here.:);)
Anyways, when I have time to stop by, will check it out. In the meantime, anyone here yet?

Location is good for me too. Since there is only Lewis Massage, and Northgate Sole Spa in the area until now.
I do not see advertisement for the lady that does legit massage anymore that is above Northtown Centre in the professional offices. I distinctly remember her advertise "Fully Draped, No Sexual"
Words like that in the ads can kill your business or drive potential foot traffic to the ground.
    :p

I went by on Wednesday. Because it is located in a high traffic retail location sitting above the Lucky Supermarket, I would be very surprised if this would be anything but a legit place.

I did not go for a look as the retail customer traffic including parking lot next to Timmy's was jammed with cars and people milling all around the area.

May be wrong, but my gut says - I don't think so!

It is legit, been there forever unless the lady just sold it?

Older Lady is good at deep tissue, relaxation is not her thing.

    Check it out.

Thanks for the info, actually drove there but opted out before walking in because it was PACKED with people at the foodcourt and checkout area. I just cannot imagine that it would be a relaxing experience in that environment.

I do have a question about Lewis and Sole, I have not been to either establishment for a long long time, I was at Sole many moons ago. Is there any reason to revisit either one of them, regardless of extras, any good masseuses in either place currently?

I enjoyed Melissa ' s deep tissue massage at Sole....when I went a long time ago. Others had mixed reviews. A couple guys said she did happy endings. She would be the only one good....as I haven't heard anything positive about the others. At Lewis massage, I went to Ivy. Excellent massage from head to toe with her. Neither are lookers and both are middle aged. Both with great personalities. Neither have shower facilities...this is a negative for me most days.

I think that place is for foot massage.

I think that the place above Lucky Market does full body massages to in addition to the Reflexology Foot Massages. I see the ad and read that they do. Here is proof:
    http://edmonton.craigslist.ca/ths/5792605666.html
Sole Spa does foot massages too but they also do full body massage. See the proof:
    http://solespaedmonton.com/our-recommendations/massage/
Lewis I know does full body massages, but I do not remember seeing a room dedicated to just foot massages lounge like Comfort Oasis, Sole Spa, Xiao Ping.

OK, I TOFTT. Once you get past the busy Lucky Supermarket crowd and the food court smell of food and Pho, you go up the stairs. Large place, nice and clean. Prices posted as you head up the stairs and you can see the open sign from downstairs.

Left my shoes on near the entrance and change to the slippers provided. There are at least 6 custom luxury arm chairs purpose built for foot massages with matching Ottomans there in the main area and two small private rooms for the body massages.
Greeted by a friendly BBW Asian lady.
Undraped, strong deep tissue massage followed. Took advantage of $70 first visit pricing.
No accidental touches and no teases. But a damn good hard massage and I was loosen up real good. Come here if that is your first goal.
No handshake at the end however.
When my body needs serious therapy, I will be back.

I guess this a review for those members and non-members who: are in a relationship where they have to behave and/or are shy and want a strictly draped massage.

I am a sucker for a special deal...and they had a one hour for 65 dollars. The best part of this place is that it's close to my work. For 65 dollars, I am definitely willing to take one for the team.

There was no BBW asian lady, but maybe she was the Chinese lady on holidays. So my massage therapist was a Fillipina lady named Maracel. Pretty lady with an average build, likely in her late twenties...and of course, perfect English. She wears glasses and had a beautiful tattoo on the top of her wrist and flowing to the top of her hand. (Can't remember which one, but it was a picture of a cross with chain.)

The massage was a standard Western massage:
completely draped, but with good use of techniques. Like Michelle at Song Blossom, she could see/feel my past muscle injuries/strains/tightness. Unlike Michelle, she wasn't going anywhere near the groin areas. At my age and with what I do for work, everything aches to varying degrees. So, not having someone comfortable with the groin area, I don't know if it could work for me to regularly visit her. But...I still thought I should put in a good word.

NEXT and for the first time, she actually asked permission to work on my glutes(My Butt):rolleyes:
I am surprised I didn't start laughing hysterically; I was tempted to say: "Yes Please!!"o_Oo_O So...the entire time, the towel was strategically moved and cropped to keep my junk and the side of my ass cheek that wasn't being worked on...covered.:p:p

As far as the location above an Asian Supermarket and more specifically above its food court, you couldn't hear anything below (the studio is on the second floor), but the door had a bell. With that and the one customer that did come in, it turned out be a noisy, yet short interruption. But...imagine if there was a busy flow of customers in and out.

Lastly, there was no music. Add that to the dark curtains, being on the second floor...plus a farely warm day=a warm and a bit stuffy room.

So in conclusion: great place for therapy...but I sure as hell couldn't relax there. Which is too bad...as Maracel had your stereotypical Philipina excellent customer service and really gave it her best. (Just needs to get a little bit stronger with her deep tissue and her time management skills.) She did miss a few areas on the front.

Should add: there was another asian lady with short cropped hair. I mention her, because she reminded me of Kelly off of Stoney Plain Road. Sorry...never got her name. Not into the short hair cuts for women, but she seemed slim and attractive, late twenties likely as well.

They both wore the clinical scrubs.

So I left Nana massage (which changed its grand opening day at the last minute) and booked with Sarah at Top Points. She is farely new and they have been promoting her a lot in their ads.

For those that appreciate places like Le Spa, and either don't go for happy endings, or don't always need them...I would recommend the Chinese Sarah. Not that it matters, but it is a bonus that she is probably in her twenties, slim and I found to be very attractive. A towel was used to keep Darryl and his brothers covered. But, other than that, it was undraped.

It was very much a North American style massage, but with an Asian twist. She didn't get on top of me for deep tissue, but did get partially on the table beside me. Everything but the face and upper groin was massaged. (If I have issues with the groin in the future, I probably will ask for a massage there), She didn't seem shy about working the glutes, and pelvic area below the hips.

Perfect pressure for the areas I needed Deep tissue and wonderful relaxation techniques for the rest. The stomach and chest massage was exquisite.
Most importantly, no teasing to try and wrongly make you think there may be something more to come back to in the future. This was just a great full body "legit" massage. And as it is in the area I work, I will be booking with her again.

Friendliness and Customer Service: 8 out of 10. I would give her 10 out of 10, but they do have to leave the room sometimes to answer the door.

English was a 10 out of 10. She even seems to make her accent hardly noticeable. I was really, really impressed.

And for the style of massage it was, I also gave her skills an 8 out of 10.

A month ago, I tried to book a massage with Sarah. When I got there, I was told she wasn't there yet. Got on the table and waited. In came a lady that right away had my Maestro sense tingling. Quickly, I realised her English was poor and this was not Sarah...or at least not the one i remember. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and concluded this lady took Sarah as her name and the one I requested no longer worked there...at all. But on the flip, I asked her name and she said it was Lisa.

WTF!!! Too bad...it was a great massage, full body and undraped, except for a towel to cover Darryl and his brothers. What was the highlight of the massage: it seemed like she spent half the time massaging my ass and groin. This is the closest you are going to get to happy ending from that place.:eek::eek:

Lisa was in her late twenties, early thirties, a bit pretty, and she had a birthmark on her forehead.

    Obviously...thats my last visit there.

This is the Sarah that's been working at Amazing Spa (for almost a year) on 111th st. beside a Uhaul. Last week, I was told she's been on a two week holiday. So she should be back soon.

I bumped up this review for Qster. (And anyone else interested)

Note: the body parts not being worked on; have to be draped at least with a sheet. The owner May, is very strict about this.

This massage place above Lucky Market at the North side has permanently closed. There are not enough traffic and business volume to keep it going even though the supermarket downstairs is busy. Maybe avenues of advertising also contribute to its relevancy. It was a nice place, just that most of us here were looking for more................and we did not repeat visit as it was just average. There is nothing that stood out enough to warrant repeats.

That explains why I haven't seen an ad in a very long time.
