Reed wins title in playoff

    Kapalua, USA: Patrick Reed rolled in a 18-foot birdie putt around the first playoff hole on Monday to defeat Jimmy Walker and win the US PGA Tour's Tournament of Champions.
    Reed had holed out for eagle for the 16th to seize a share with the lead at 2-under par. From a bogey at 17 he birdied the par-five 18th at Kapalua's Plantation course regulation to complete a 67 for 21-under 271.
    "I just stayed patient. Which was the biggest thing right through the day, I merely attempted to stay patient and tried not prosper of myself, tried never to make any careless errors," Reed said. "Luckily, I was in the position to hole a wedge shot on 16 to type of find the momentum, however I missed another short putt (at 17).
    "Here on the last, I gave myself that chance I was lucky enough to get help it become."
    Walker, who got into a final round tied for your lead with Japan's Hideki Matsuyama, pared a final four holes on the way to a 69 which put him on 271.

    Reed is in the correct rough off the tee but hit an excellent second shot in the fairway.
