My Chinese wife grew up in Shanghai. She was born in the 60s. Absolutely stunningly beautiful. Even in her 50s, she is better looking than 90% of the 30 year old Chinese women I see in Toronto.
She juts told me a story, because she is cooking Chinese soup for me as we speak. I thought I would share.
My wife told me that when she was growing up under Communism, there was no such thing as mushroom heads. Only the mushroom stems were available. Not until she was 10 years old, did she first see and taste a mushroom head. Not until Mao died and Deng Xiao Ping came to rule did the Chinese people have the luxury of eating Mushroom heads, not just the stem.
Just another example of how Communism makes people poor and capitalism gives people more.
