    Hello Therapists,
Since my fiancee has graduated from Massage Therapy School, I've been working on an online service to help her keep appointments and records for her clients. Recently, I was able to put up a working version of the application at http://www.massagecrm.com. I know that her school has taught her to keep medical history records as well as information on each session that she has with the client, but what I'm really wondering is how many of you are keeping up with the practice? If you are, what kind of information do you come back to reference? If you are not, what would you need to start keeping track?

For me personally, I don't like the idea of having clients information on a web base service, because nothing is perfect service can go down or get hacked into. Paper records for clients don't break!

I do however love online booking and again that can break too as I learned last week when the service was down for 24 hours :p

That's a really good point. I think that by using 256-bit SSL encryption (techie blah blah) the risk of clients records being hacked are comparable to someone breaking into your office and stealing your paper records. The downtime, however, can be a huge pain.

This is feedback I've heard before about using an online scheduling and record keeping service. As a software developer, I always lean toward the benefits of ubiquitous data access over the occasional outeforum.xxxe. However, I am not a massage therapist. My plan for our service is to offer PDF downloads of client records in the event that a therapist wants to keep paper records for redundancy. My thought is that this also helps with standardizing your notes so you always know exactly where to look on a page to get the information you want.

Do you think that offering such a feature would provide a suitable solution to the downtime problem?

This looks like a fantastic service.

My clinic is currently using mindbody. I love it. But, if there was one drawback mindbody does not provide any sort of charting system within the site. Our therapists simply chart "storybook" style within the "notes" section. If there were anatomical charts and rehab exercises it would be a complete service.

Awesome feedback. This is something I've really been wanting to work on. The technology world has produced some new tools that will make it possible.
My plan is to start with a body chart that you can highlight problem areas. What else would you need on the body chart?
Also, can you give me some more information on the rehab charts? I'm not sure what those would look like. There is one other feature (the PDF exporting)
that I have to work on before this, but I will work on it as soon as possible.

I would be kinda cool to be able to chart online and be able to fill out a HCFA form for insurance and print out both to be able to fax to insurance co

Right now I am doing both by hand
