I asked if undraped was ok, but didn't get a response back.

I feel like 90/hr for an unknown is a little high, so I probably won't TOFTT on this one.

Ya I asked too. Maybe she autorejects you if you inquire about undraped.

Massage therapist typically charge 80-90 an hour. I pay 90 plus gst to my RMT.
You guys want all this service, receipts and fluffy towels but think 90 is steep....ugh *shakin' my head

I’d gladly pay $90 if the showers were better equipped (proper shampoo, body wash, mirror for after, oh and maybe a toilet). The facilities in some are just thrown together. I’d love a robe if the shower isn’t in the same room.
I’m tired of the endless bottles of almost empty body wash. I wear glasses and have very little idea what the stuff is until I apply it.
Simple things dictate the overall experience. Even when a lady starts the shower before you get in there. Most know better than I how to get the right temp.
Anyways, haven’t found that place yet. J&J has some of the above, Labella offers others, Nana eh!; just looking for a bit more “spa” out of the experience.

I agree and unfortunately to get the spa experience you need to go to a spa and pay spa prices.
Even spas usually don't have showers in each room, this is something usually only adult type massage places have.

True. In room showers are a luxury and so be it, but a towel rapped around my waist, carting my clothes down a hallway past other clients or therapists, then to fight with the shower, no clue what I’m putting on my body, and then having to find a washroom to make sure I look presentable; is a bit of a pain. Then again, I’m not paying for those amenities so I won’t complain, too much.

I used to pay $90+GST at The Boardroom Men's Spa at Commerce Place in downtown in 2006. Back then it was steep since market was between $60 to $75 for an hour but insurance only covered $70 max. But the atmosphere built was truly magnificent and justified as you really get pampered services. That $20 is worth the extras they provided with the massage service. Free complimentary beverage before, during and after service, free shoe shine, use of slippers in the spa, friendly women only staff, immaculate showers and washrooms, with complimentary toiletries at your disposal, use of lounge, assortment of men's magazines to read, posh furnishings and modern decor, climate controlled to be cooler temperature. It was awesome and it got me addicted to visit often and use as a benchmark to compare other spas. Yes, you understood and expected to pay more but extras don't come free, right guys?
Sadly, higher rents and downturn in economy took it's toll on the place. They even opened it up and catered to both genders but it was not enough to survive. That space is built well and not occupied still.

That’s what I’m talking about. Amenities! Providing a spa like atmosphere instead of the; Rub, Tug, Hug, warm bootle of water, and “Bye Hun”; we’re getting used to.
The body rub places are stepping up their game, looking at the luxury of the newly opened “Gallery” and The Next Temptations new locale, from what Alyson has tells me, are offering opulence and luxury to entice those of us who feel our money is worth more than ramshackle rooms and slapped together parlours.
Perhaps I’m expecting too much from this backwater town. But when I strayed from the cheap and easy places for haircuts like Singletons or Great Clips and ventures out to The Men’s Room or even Tommy Guns, I started to realize that my money is better spent when the Management use that extra to provide better facilities, amenities, and service.
    Just saying!

Love Tommy Guns, they need to branch out and create a sister company for men's massage using the same service style and amenity levels. Doesn't necessarily need to be a HE place, but one could hope.

Totally agree. I got the most amazing shoulder massage by my stylist last time. When you get the add-on service of a straight razor neck shave they generally add a bit of neck massage at the end when applying the skin lotion, but this stylist noticed a knot in my left shoulder and spent a good 10min working it out.
I told her they needed a massage room for those of us looking for a cut, shave, and massage. That would be heaven!
