RMT(+) Experiences

Putting up a new thread as there are discussions on this subject popping up in several threads that are specific to a massage place or a therapist.

When reviewing a therapist who provides legit receipts for insurance purposes, I tend to not get into posting about any extra-curricular activities that may take place in order not to jeopardise their standing with the insurance companies. Also, in some (RMT +) cases what develops is a YMMV thing, so it's not the same as posting about a body rub place where everything is on a menu all the time. Of course if no one posted anything there would be no forum.

IMHO, in these RMT+ situations, we should simply provide a general hint and leave it that. Let individuals do their own work to develop a 'relationship', as opposed to providing all kinds of details and possibly destroying what is available. I think many of the RMT's are totally scared of the possibility of someone posting a very detailed review and this is what prevents them from venturing into the RMT+ situations more often. What do you guys think?

ps: BTW, masseuses leaning into us, our hands, feet, heads is nothing new. Most of the smarter RMT's use these approaches to ensure repeat customers, even if they won't cross the line much more, ever. Newbies make a bigger deal out of these elements. The challenge is to build a deeper rapport, and you can't build trust if you rush home and describe it all in an online post, the same night .

I have an incredible RMT story to share but my experience was contingent on my cross my heart and hope to die promise to never say anything that would give others a sense she did that just for me. I am not sure she just does it for me, but who knows. Happy to share the story, but I get the impression others here don't just want stories withouit a reference to whom. So I am wondering, what if there was a just a STORY thread that did not require divulging who. I would enjoy hearing such stories, but if that's not what most here are interested in, I can keep the stories to myself.

Agreed. What's the point? I get the point Albertaman is making about not blabbing, in fact I made it myself in another thread but at the same time, if I am looking to be happy, I don't mind repeat visits to build rapport but don't want to waste my time if there is no chance. Knowing where there might be a chance (i.e.. the name) at least offers hope. Do not need full blown story in fact, would rather experience my own story but need to know where it might be 'written'.

Agree with all of you in some fashion. Unless there is some clear hint as to how to find the place/therapist or at least how to find the ad/key words, there would not be much value in just a story. Personally, I prefer someone (who is a known quantity on the board) just giving a suggestion to try a therapist by name and with some minor information on level of attractiveness and leave it at that.
On the other hand, Luckydog if you want to start a new thread with your story, I suggest you go for it - people are free to read, add or ignore. That's what an open forum is all about.
[Sometime in 2016 someone had posted (a story) about an Edmonton esthetician (she gave massages in private) in this Forum, but without providing further details. It intrigued me enough that through a lot of searching, I found one (no clue if it was the same one or not) that led to some unique fun experiences. But a clearer hint in the original post would have been preferable].

Thanks for the feedback! I get why some are only interested in accounts that provide some kind of identifying information. It's why I come here too.

Albertaman, I might just start a thread like that as I myself appreciate stories that offer me some insight into what can be possible with RMTs and others who do not advertise the kinds of services we look for. I am curious now about the posting you mentioned if you have a link to it, and I for one would welcome your story too even if youi can't divulge any identifying info. To each their own is my motto as long as we are respectful of one another and also the women we encounter in our respective travels!

My only suggestion is that the title of the thread identifies that the thread just stories and no information. Don't want anyone reading the whole thread, get all hot & bothered but no place to go LOL.

They have to maintain good standing with an association to give a reciept, so yes shooting your mouth off does matter.

Reviewies with out names of course are just works of fiction!

Though I would like to see two categories: massage and extras reviewes (point rating). It does put pressure on masseuses' if they don't give extras, a reviewer may make them out to be a no go even if they are the most skilled at their work. This is one aspect I hate, cause these are supposed to be professional studios (or at least working towards it) not bodyrubs (avoid if you have a heart condition, lol)!

If the massage is good - bonus.

If the extras are the highlight of my session, then my expectations have been rewarded. I don't think I have reviewed an RMT solely for their massage skills. If there were no extras, a strictly "Massage Session" review comes because of the disappointment of no extras.

I don't read reviews here because I am looking for a good massage, lol

Agree on most points. I think sometimes, the point of posting a "no extras" massage is when someone might have thought there was something more but ended up not getting any (heh) and wanted to:

1. Help prevent others from having wrong expectations
2. Write some redeeming qualities about the experience

I, for one, wouldn't mind exercising my researching and scavenger hunting skills (the wondering is kind of fun) if someone wrote about a good RMT+ experience and left clues. However, without clues, it's just a story, and although it's good to hear about that, you might as well have written about your trip to Vegas or wherever.

Bob..you are a bad bad boy ... I on the other hand value a great massage ...because I have pain. And secondly just because I can talk myself into ' happiness'... is not necessarily a great time for me... too many of these ladies think if you just jerk it like a jackhammer all is good ... not so with me ever since my vasectomy ... it takes more stimulation than that...and really outside of FS... ( too expensive ) for massage and ... very few girls I have met will go that extra .. mile...except for Amy ...but that's a new and dif storey
